The Application architecture layer is where you find the software that either directly or closely support an the end user and the business processes in the Business architecture layer. Here you find software requirements (epics and features), systems, subsystems, services (like micro-services), large-scale reusable components and software collaborations.

All software components are related to each other in a pre-defined way according to the EAS and queries can be made for the usage of software and/or how it is protected by security groups (like AD groups).
