The Commercial architecture is the part of the enterprise architecture that corresponds to the commercial side of the organization, i.e. its ”offerings” to the outside world. The commercial architecture can be re-interpreted to the things that a non-commercial organization offers the outside world, i.e. the commercial architecture layer can be used for both commercial and non-commercial organizations, despite its name.

In the commercial architecture we find customers, customer roles, ideas, business cases, offerings (such as products or services) and customer journeys.
